And while you bicker and oppose us simply because I am me, gentleman, the ruins will breed rats. These rats will thrive on scraps and the ideals that drive most desperate men; revenge, as always, chief among them. And once avenged, the promise of something better. The weak will die, leaving the best among them to confer between them, and they will soon discover that there is further strength in numbers.
They will also soon discover that with greater numbers comes the need for coordination. Those incapable of doing so will be cast out; the swarm will form and dissolve and reform until, one day, one distinguishes himself above all others, and earns their loyalty, their respect. Cleaning up preventable messes, gentlemen, has never put me in the best moods, you must realize.
